Since 1990 I play the Celtic frame drum Bodhrán that is called "crowdy crawn" in Cornwall.

The Bodhrán is one of the most versatile frame drums. By using the modulating hand (that hand not hitting the skin with a tipper) you are able to change pitch and character of every beat.

This drum is played with only one tipper or by using a oscilating movement with the hand.
